Know what to automate before you spend on it.

A $1,500 fixed-price audit. We map every recurring process in the firm, rank them by return, and hand you a phased plan with a price on each phase. The fee is credited against the first build.

Why start here.

Most firms that come to us have already tried something: a chatbot on the website, a subscription that promised to “automate everything”, a junior who built a spreadsheet macro. What they lack is a view of where the hours actually go and which of those hours are worth recovering first. The audit gives you that view, on paper, before a single line of anything is built.

What we do.

Sessions with the people who do the work

Not just the partners. The receptionist who triages the inbox, the paralegal who assembles the engagement letter, the bookkeeper who reconciles the invoices, the account manager who chases renewals. We sit with each of them and follow one week of work.

Every recurring process, mapped

Who does it, which tools it touches, how many hours a week, where it stalls, what breaks when someone is out.

Four questions per process

  1. Does this need to happen at all?
  2. If yes, does a person need to do it?
  3. If not, can ordinary software do it?
  4. If not, can AI do it reliably, with a person checking the parts that matter?

Most processes fail at question one or two. That is useful to know before buying software for them.

Ranked by return

Hours recovered, errors avoided, revenue that stops leaking. Each candidate gets a number, and the numbers decide the order.

What you get.

  • The process map. Every recurring process in the firm on one page, with owner, tools, hours and failure points.
  • The ranked list. Each process scored on the four questions and ordered by return, with a plain explanation of why it landed where it did.
  • The phased plan. What to build first, second and third. Each phase has a scope, a timeline and a fixed price, so you can approve one phase at a time.

You own the documents. If you take the plan to another builder, or do it in-house, that is fine.

What it costs.

$1,500, fixed. No hourly overrun. If you go ahead with the first phase of the plan, the $1,500 comes off that price.

Who it is for.

Firms that sell expertise and drown in the paperwork around it: law, accounting, notary, insurance, engineering, consulting. If you are not sure the audit makes sense for your office, write to us anyway and we will tell you honestly.

After the audit.

Phase one usually starts within a few weeks of the report. Adoption is built into every phase: the people who do the work today are the ones who test it, and nothing goes live until they trust it.

Common questions.

Do we have to change our practice management software?

No. We build on what you have.

Will you see client files?

Only what the sessions require, under an NDA signed before day one. Most of the audit is about process, not content.
